Seattle Seahawks: How does the Tyler Locket – D.K. Metcalf duo stack up?

All-Time Duos

What’s next for this duo? Will they be among the NFL’s all-time elite? Being up in the ranks as one of the best, if not the best wide receiver tandems of all time. Up there with the likes of:

  • Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis Colts (2001 – 2008).
  • Mark Clayton and Mark Duper – Miami Dolphins (1983 – 1992).
  • Randy Moss and Cris Carter – Minnesota Vikings (1998 – 2001).
  • John Stallworth and Lynn Swann – Pittsburgh Steelers (1974 – 1982).
  • Jerry Rice and John Taylor – San Francisco 49ers (1987 – 1995).
  • Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce – St. Louis Rams (1999 – 2007).

If Lockett and Metcalf continue to do what they’re doing, and at the pace they do it at, they should at the very least be in the conversation. All-time numbers are all-time numbers. Playing in a smaller market shouldn’t affect their numbers or the way the pair is remembered.

The sky is the limit for Metcalf who seems to be just hitting his stride. That makes the future even brighter for this duo. However, I’m sure some of you will disagree with my rankings of the Seahawks wide receiver tandems. I encourage you to share your reasons why the other tandems should be ranked elsewhere.
