Washington State Cougars basketball updated 2020-21 schedule
The 2020–21 Washington State Cougars basketball season starts this week. We have the updated schedule through the end of 2020.
The best word to describe Sunday’s announcement about canceling the Apple Cup game is … crushing. That was going to be one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal year. Washington State Cougars fans take heart, basketball season is about to begin. It’s another chance to cheer on the Cougs this month
The first nine games of the 2020–21 Cougars’ schedule was recently updated. Hopefully, the start of basketball season this week takes fan’s minds off not playing football. Head coach Kyle Smith went a long way to establishing a solid program in his first season as the Cougs’ head coach.
Led by guards CJ Elleby and Isaac Bonton, WSU went 16–16. It was Washington State’s first winning season since 2012–13. Elleby is now with the Portland Trail Blazers but Bonton is back. Unfortunately, Smith will miss the first few games because he tested positive for COVID-19.
