A New Day at WSU
Washington State football begins the Nick Rolovich era on Saturday night. He replaces Mike Leach, who left for Mississippi State after last season.
While the air raid sirens are now silent, that doesn’t mean WSU’s offense is much less explosive. On the contrary, Rolovich had one of the country’s top-scoring offenses in the country. Despite some key departures, Wazzu returns some very talented players at the skill positions, incuding Max Borghi, Travell Harris, and Renard Bell. Earlier this week, the Cougars named Jayden de Laura, a true freshman from Honolulu as their starting quarterback.
Oregon State looks to be on the upswing after a few awful seasons recently. Even so, coach Jonathan Smith’s team still has a ways to go before they reach mediocrity.
