Seattle Seahawks Dud and Stud of Game 8 vs. Giants
The Seattle Seahawks made it three straight with a 27-13 win over the New York Giants. Here are our Dud and Stud of the game.
When defeating a 6-1 team, there are plenty of candidates for Stud of the week.
2nd Honorable Mention
Tight end Will Dissly is our second honorable mention, and it isn’t for his12 yards on 2 catches. He’s here for his play on special teams, more specifically, punt coverage.
First, he forced a fumble late in the second quarter that led to a field goal. Then with 6:48 left in the game, he recovered a fumble that led to Kenneth Walker’s 16-yard rushing touchdown, which put the Seattle Seahawks up by 14.
1st Honorable Mention
This week’s first honorable mention goes to QB Geno Smith for leading the Seattle Seahawks to another victory. Even the struggles of his offensive line couldn’t stop #7 from pulling out a win.
Smith finished the game 23 of 34 for 212 yards and 2 TDs. He could have had one more touchdown if Lockett held on to a pass that went right through his hands.
Stud of the Week
This week’s Stud is the Seattle Seahawks pass rush. They terrorized Giants quarterback Daniel Jones all day.
The defense combined for 5 sacks, 4 additional tackles for loss, and 8 quarterback hits. On a day when the offense was so/so, they dominated and only surrendered 13 points to a team that many considered one of the NFC’s best.
