Seattle Seahawks Dud and Stud of Game 8 vs. Giants

The Seattle Seahawks made it three straight with a 27-13 win over the New York Giants. Here are our Dud and Stud of the game.

2nd Dishonorable Mention

The second dishonorable mention this week goes to Tyler Lockett for several reasons. First, his fumble led to the Giants’ only TD. Also, Lockett dropped a pass that would have been a sure Seahawks touchdown.

1st Dishonorable Mention

This week’s first dishonorable mention goes to the head referee. Usually, we would throw a flag on Jerome Boger for a bad call, but this was different.

Boger called a sideline encroachment penalty on the Seattle Mariners during the fourth quarter. He never acknowledged his mistake and just kept on calling the game.

Dud of the Week

Our Dud of the Week goes to a group of guys that are supposed to be a cohesive unit but weren’t anything near cohesive. The Seattle Seahawks offensive line looked bad for most of the game.

They gave up 3 sacks and a total of 10 QB hits. Additionally, the O-Line failed to open very many holes for the running backs, who had 61 yards on 20 carries.

Fortunately for them, Geno Smith had a decent game even while under duress from New York’s defense. He bailed out the line several times with heads-up plays.
