Seattle Seahawks injury report Week 2 vs. New England

Seattle Seahawks
Phillip Dorsett II, Seattle Seahawks.

Our game day-eve Seattle Seahawks injury report. PNWS lets you know who could miss Sunday night’s Week 2 game.

After a convincing 38-25 season-opening win in Atlanta, the Seattle Seahawks are back in town to host New England on Sunday night. It should be a fantastic early-season game between two good teams. Unfortunately, the contest will take place at an empty CenturyLink Field. 12’s will once again cheer for the Seahawks from the comfort of home.

Injury Report

Seattle Seahawks

Out – WR Josh Gordon (suspended), G Phil Haynes (n/a). Doubtful – OT Cedric Ogbuehi (chest), DT Jarran Reed (neck). Questionable – WR Phillip Dorsett (foot). Probable – OT Jamarco Jones (sick).

Notes – Dorsett did not practice on Friday. Reed is unlikely to play due to a neck injury suffered last week in Atlanta. If he’s a no go, Bryan Mone will make his first NFL start. The Seahawks resigned defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas to the practice squad earlier in the week. Head coach Pete Carrol is likely to activate either Christmas or Anthony Rush for the game.

New England Patriots

Out – LB Josh Uche (ankle). Questionable – DT Adam Butler (shoulder), LB Brandon Copeland (knee), WR Julian Edelman (knee), WR N’Keal Harry (shoulder), TE Dalton Keene (neck), WR Matthew Slater (knee).

Notes – Receivers Edelman and Harry both practiced this week, but each was limited. New England leads the NFL in opt-outs with eight. Brandon Bolden, Marcus Cannon, Patrick Chung, Dont’a Hightower, Matt LaCosse, Marquise Lee, Najee Toran, and Dan Vitale will all sit out the 2020 season.
