Outlook
The Seattle Seahawks have to win this game. They play a slumping team that’s very banged up.
Los Angeles’ offensive line is especially shorthanded, and the receiver corps is missing its best players. With the way Seattle’s defense played last week, Rams quarterback Baker Mayfield could have a very long day.
But the Seahawks will have to do it without middle linebacker Jordyn Brooks. Seattle’s leading tackler is done for this year and most of the next with an ACL injury.
Geno Smith has one last shot at making his case for 2022 NFL Comeback Player of the Year. A good showing on Sunday that carries the Seattle Seahawks to the postseason could put him over the top.
He’s got a good shot at doing it too. The last time these teams played each other, Smith was 28 of 39 for 367 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Playoff Scenario
Seattle has to win and then hope Detroit (who they just eliminated) pulls off a huge upset on Sunday Night Football against Green Bay.
