Interesting Trends
Seattle is 3-8 in their last 11. They are also 2-5 at Lumen field this season. Historically, the Seahawks play Detroit well in the Emerald City, winning seven of the last eight.
The Lions have won only twice in their last 19 games, including winless on the road this season. From a betting standpoint, Detroit is 6-1 against the spread. Additionally, the total has gone under in 10 of 13.
Even though the over/under is a very low 41.5, the under might still be a good bet. The Seahawks have gone under in 9 of 13, while Detroit has gone under in 10 of 13.

Last Game
Chicago Bears 25 – Seattle Seahawks 24
The Seattle Seahawks should have won this game easily. Unfortunately, they squandered several opportunities as unnecessary mistakes, poor execution, and time of possession did them in again. Chicago quarterback Nick Foles took advantage of the Seahawks COVID and injury-depleted secondary just enough to pull out a one-point win.
- QB Russell Wilson – 16 of 27 passing for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns.
- RB Rashaad Penny – 17 rushes for 135 yards and 1 touchdown.
- TE Gerald Everett – 4 receptions for 68 yards and 1 touchdown.
- LEO Carlos Dunlap II – 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 2 sacks, 1 pass defended.
Outlook
The Seattle Seahawks struggled mightily this year, but their troubles are minuscule compared to what Detroit went through the last several seasons. Their 2021 was lost almost from the get-go. Even so, they can pull off a surprise upset as they did two weeks ago in a 30-12 win over Arizona.
This week, the Lions start backup QB Tim Boyle again this week as Jared Goff is out with a knee injury. He’ll be without one of his top receivers. Detroit placed receiver Josh Reynolds on the COVID list. Boyle will have to watch out for a rejuvenated Carlos Dunlap, who has five sacks in his last two games.
If there is a game for Russell Wilson to prove to everyone that he’s back, this is the one. Additionally, Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny is on a roll with two 130+ rushing yard games in the last month.
Matchups to watch

- Detroit OLB Will Harris vs. Seahawks RT Jack Curhan.
