Outlook
It’s a bit puzzling that the oddsmakers have Tampa as a 2.5-point favorite. The Seattle Seahawks are 6-3 in 2022 and are on a four-game win streak. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is 4-5 and coming off a comeback win against the Rams.
Every NFL team gets hit with injuries, and TB is several men down. It’s a big reason why they have struggled to a 4-5 record this year. Believe it or not, the Seattle Seahawks can take advantage of that.
The Bucs’ defense may be strong overall, but they have problems stopping the run. Look for Kenneth Walker to get plenty of carries early.
It will be challenging to gain big yards against the league’s tenth-best pass defense. However, Geno Smith has done a great job all season getting the ball to his wide receivers, Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf, not to mention his trio of tight ends.
Seahawks cornerbacks Tariq Woolen, Coby Bryant, and Mike Jackson face a tough task this week. Tampa receiver Mike Evans is one of the league’s best, and he’s also 6’5”. The Bucs also have Chris Godwin to catch passes from Tom Brady, and he does it well.
Speaking of TB12, he seems to be playing below his usual standards. Is it the divorce or father time?
Regardless, he’s the G.O.A.T. and finds ways to win. It’s up to the Seahawk’s defense to keep him in check.
