Seattle Seahawks: Has Russell Wilson already checked out?
Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson came back from a finger injury. However, was it the correct move on his part?
I never thought I’d ever say an injured Colt McCoy is better than an injured Russell Wilson. This is the world we live in now, and I think I’m going to be sick and not like this new world. Wilson showed off his strong connection with Tyler Lockett, who was, without a doubt, the Seattle Seahawks‘ best offensive weapon.
Wilson fared better against Arizona than he did against Green Bay. However, the finger injury is affecting RW3’s throws more than he will let anyone know. His inability to make effective throws significantly hampers an already compromised offense. Maybe it’s time that the Seattle Seahawks turn back to Geno Smith starting at quarterback? Excuse me; I’m going to throw up.
Arizona sacked Wilson four times last Sunday. On two of those sacks, it looked like he made his reads, saw that no one was open, and then looked for the sack to come and end the play. Usually, Wilson either makes an incredible play or takes off running. Against the Cards, Russ ran twice for two yards.
Russ Dreaming of Greener Pastures?
Russ doesn’t look like his usual self. It’s just speculation, but might he be looking to leave the Seattle Seahawks? Maybe he just wants out no matter what happens in Seattle this offseason?
It’s too early to know for sure what he’s thinking. However, this team looks off (“Breaking News” there, I know, but the defense still plays hard). The offense is stuck in Groundhogs Day, repeating the same things over and over again and expecting different results. Again, not breaking news. From my perspective, it looks like maybe some people are going through the motions and wanting the end of the season to get here soon.
Russell Wilson wanted out of Seattle after a 12-4 season. What’s he going to want after this 3-7 abomination comes to an end?
