Seattle Seahawks beat Arizona 31-21: The Armchair QB Speaks
The Seattle Seahawks upped their record to 6-3 in 2022 with a 10-point win over Arizona. Here are four points of interest from the game.

At times it looked dicey that the Seattle Seahawks would pull out an intra-division win at Arizona. But they turned their fortunes around to leave Arizona with a 31-21 win. Here are some interesting points from the game.
Overcoming Adversity
Sunday’s game was a microcosm of Geno Smith‘s tenure as the Seahawks quarterback. He started slow, going 10 of 15 for 63 yards on his first three drives.
He also threw a pick-six early in the third quarter, putting Arizona up 14-10. Then business picked up.
Instead of getting down on himself, Smith rallied. On the next possession, he went 5 of 6 for 54 yards culminating with a 9-yard TD throw to Tyler Lockett.
That was the start of three straight touchdown drives. You got to give it up to the man for not quitting on this game or his career.
North and South, not East and West
Kenneth Walker has been a revelation since Seattle Seahawks GM John Schneider drafted the running back from Michigan State in the second round last April. Sunday was more of the same; KW3 picked up 129 yards from scrimmage and 2 TDs on 29 touches.
He could have had more. Several times, Walker tried to beat the defense on the outside when he had several opportunities to turn upfield. Hopefully, it was rookie mistakes.
Cornering the Market
I, for one, disagreed with the Seahawk’s strategy when it came to drafting cornerbacks. They had to do it, but I thought they should have selected one earlier.
Coby Bryant (fourth round) and Tariq Woolen (fifth round) will be around the Emerald City for a long time. The young corners almost shut down Arizona’s passing game. Kyler Murray only completed 25 passes for 175 yards.
Seattle corners held Cardinals receivers to 12 catches for 101 yards, including 4 for 36 by DeAndre Hopkins.
Well, I was wrong.
TE of the Week
Smith utilizes all his weapons in the passing game. He’s especially adept at getting the most out of his tight ends.
As a group, the Seattle Seahawks tight ends had another strong outing. Noah Fant, Will Dissly, and Colby Parkinson caught 10 passes for 126 yards.
This week, Noah Fant played his best game since joining the Seahawks. He had 5 grabs for 96 yards and was a consistent mismatch for the defenders covering him.
